RAIDERS SAGA CONTINUES.....

This week Raiders captain Mando Moss received information from that player himself (4th round pick Mondo) that he wanted to be dropped from the Raiders. Rumors are that Jets captain Gomez somehow convinced Mondo that he can ask to be dropped from the Raiders and play with his buddies in the Jets. With that said what that player and captain did is not tolerable in the CFL. Gomez was let off with a warning, but with CFL approval next time a captain does such a thing he will be penalized with player tampering and serve his next scheduled game as a one game suspension. Things didn't go so well with Mondo from the Raiders, with CFL approval he was suspended for the rest of the season and may not get picked up by ANY team! Mando Moss even proposed a trade that would have sent Mondo to the Jets for Dre the Jets most consistent and reliable player but agreements were not reached. With both teams not being able to agree on a trade Mando Moss granted Mondo's request and he was dropped from the Raiders. With LEAGUE APPROVAL the Raiders were able to pick up Miguel after being denied by most captains to bring in a new-comer Joel. Many captains agreed that they don't know how well this guy can play so they decided and agreed to welcome Miguel to the Raiders. Miguel indeed was drafted last year by Mando Moss and the Raiders on the 4th round, but was unable to show up but to the first game of last season. Many are crying that why should the Raiders be able to replace Mondo but how is this fair for the Raiders whose player was tampered with and convinced of going elsewhere. After having some devastating losses to the Giants, Titans, and Eagles, how good are these Raiders? Could this be that spark they have been looking for? With only a couple of games left this season things will get very tight, nail biting, and interesting. Captains gather your teams and practice because this year is up for grabs after having so many competitors and balanced teams many can say not even the Jets are guaranteed a Superbowl victory!

Three Clinch

With both a Vikings and Patriots loss this weekend, the Jets, Raiders and Eagles all clinched a playoff spot with 6 wins or more. The Giants can clinch a playoff spot by simply winning one more game, and the Titans could clinch a spot with either a victory over the Vikings or by winning any 2 of their last 3 games. The last place Patriots and Vikings could still over take the Titans or Giants, but if the Vikings or Patriots don't take care of business next week, they'll find the sun quickly setting on their post-season chances.

5 TEAM PLAYOFF SYSTEM?

CFL BREAKING NEWS......... As you have heard by rumor or not The CFL Committee has agreed to a five team playoff system, where in which the fourth seed would face the fifth seed, in what people refer as, "the wild card game." The winner of the game would play the top seed in first place. Now to make things fair for the fourth seed the CFL Committee has agreed to give the fourth seed 1 point and possession of the ball to start the game! Which means the fourth seed wouldn't have to go for the 2pointer to end the game. So it now means that the current bottom three teams, Patriots, Vikings, and Titans now have a shot to extend their season longer and try to beat the "never showing to games" Eagles, who are currently in that fourth spot.

Rule Clarification: Running the Ball inside the "20"

If the ball is on or inside the "20" (the 2-PAT line) the offense cannot advance the ball or score by rushing it.

If the ball is inside the no rushing zone but then a penalty occurs that pushes the new line of scrimmage outside of the "20", the offense is now once again able to advance the ball or score by rushing.

Note: Rule courtesy of Mando and Toad.

Rule Clarification: Blitz

If the ball is hiked and tossed back, and then a defense player yells "Blitz" after the toss back, the defense will have used up their one Blitz per drive, unless of course a penalty occurs on that play and the down is replayed.
